4 stabbed in drinking spree altercation

Four people were stabbed in an altercation during a drinking spree before dawn on Monday, Dec. 15, in Mangatarem, Pangasinan.

Police said the victims were a 19-year-old man, 31-year-old man, 25-year-old woman, and a 24-year-old man.

Investigation said the victims were having a drinking spree with friends when the 35-year-old male suspect arrived and ordered them to lower their noise and asked who threw stones in his house.

A heated argument erupted, during which the suspect returned to his house and came back armed with a kitchen knife and stabbed the victims.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Mangatarem.

Responding lawmen arrested the suspect, who was brought to a hospital for physical and medical examination. He is under police custody for proper disposition.

Recovered from him was the 10-inch kitchen knife.

Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
