Soon-to-be bride disappears after leaving home to buy wedding shoes in QC
Police and family members are searching for Sarah “Sherra” De Juan, a soon-to-be bride who was reported missing after failing to make it to her wedding.
According to her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, De Juan left their residence on the afternoon of Dec. 10 to buy shoes for their wedding.
She was last seen at around 1:35 p.m. at a Petron gas station along Atherton Street, North Fairview, Quezon City, wearing black pants, a black jacket, and a black shirt, and carrying a tumbler and a coin purse.
Family members said they immediately contacted the police after De Juan failed to return home.
Investigators have since been reviewing possible routes and destinations, including Fairview Center Mall and nearby transport terminals, where she was believed to have gone after leaving the gas station.
Efforts to trace De Juan through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage have so far been limited.
Cameras at the gas station were reportedly not operational at the time while footage from nearby establishments did not clearly capture public transport loading areas.
At the mall, only a few CCTV cameras were accessible, with other units either not functioning or producing unclear recordings.
Requests for additional CCTV footage from city-managed cameras in the mall are still pending.
Her family announced a P20,000 reward for information that could lead to De Juan’s whereabouts, as the search entered its fifth day.
Relatives described the period as “critical,” noting that De Juan was scheduled to be married on Dec. 14.
Authorities have not released further details on the case as the investigation is ongoing.
Police urged anyone with verified information to coordinate directly with investigators or the family to assist in locating De Juan.
