Marcos to Palace employees: Stay focused amid political noise
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
President Marcos has lauded employees in Malacañang for weathering the "old guard" and encouraged them to continue being focused in the middle of political noise.
During the flag raising ceremony at the Office of the President (OP) on Monday, Dec. 15, Marcos thanked Palace employees for the good work they have put in throughout the year.
"It is very, very important that we stay focused. I know that there is a great deal of political noise going on," he told them.
The President commended them for being "disruptors of the old guard," telling them that they are doing the right thing.
He stressed that this is their opportunity to make things right and better.
"We have actually been very effective disruptors of the old guard, and that is something that we will just have to weather, because what we are doing is correct, what we are doing is right, what we are doing is necessary," Marcos said.
"It is time. It is our opportunity here, now, today to make things right, to make things better, to make the lives of each Filipino better. That is how important our jobs are," Marcos added.
Addressing the OP employees, the President said it is a tradition he has been doing, especially during Christmas to convey his gratitude to them.
'From the depths of my heart, I am grateful to you for the work that you have done, because I know that you have dedicated above and beyond, lahat ng ginagawa ninyo (everything that you're doing), above and beyond the common duty, as we say in the military," the Chief Executive expressed.
He also told them to enjoy the Christmas season with their loved ones.
