Student arrested for sexually abusing 12-year-old girl in Taguig

Barangay security force personnel arrested an 18-year-old Grade 12 male student accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl in her home in Taguig. 

The suspect, identified as alias Mark, a resident of Barangay Western, Taguig, was nabbed by the barangay security force of Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig, for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) on Dec. 13. 

He was arrested following the filing of a complaint by the victim’s mother. The incident happened in Barangay Pinagsama. 

Initial investigation showed that the victim met the suspect together with her friends at their residence. 

After her companions left, the suspect allegedly remained inside the house, where the sexual abuse allegedly occurred. 

The victim’s mother learned of the incident when she arrived home and noticed an unfamiliar footwear outside their residence. When asked, the victim told her mother. 

The mom sought the assistance of the Barangay Pinagsama’s barangay security force which led to the arrest of the suspect. 

The suspect was brought to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital for medical examination and was turned over to the Taguig police’s Women and Children Protection Desk for proper investigation.
