A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck off the coast of Baganga, Davao Oriental on Saturday morning, Dec. 13, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its Earthquake Information No. 1, the agency said the tremor occurred at 10:01 a.m.
It noted that the quake’s epicenter was located 34 kilometers southeast of Baganga, Davao Oriental.
Phivolcs said the earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of focus of 10 kilometers and was felt at Intensity II in the City of Bislig, Surigao del Sur.
No damage or aftershocks are expected, the agency said.
