Motorists are advised to expect heavy traffic along Buntun Bridge in Cagayan Valley on Dec. 15 as buses ferry beneficiaries for the government’s land ownership distribution, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Saturday, Dec. 13.
The agency said congestion is likely on both the Solana and Tuguegarao City sections of the bridge.
Traffic is expected during peak hours from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
DPWH noted that the buildup will be caused by buses ferrying recipients of the Department of Agrarian Reform’s Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) program.
Motorists traveling to and from Tuguegarao City, Enrile, and Solana were urged to plan their trips outside the peak windows to avoid delays.
DPWH Regional Office II appealed for public cooperation as traffic management measures are implemented to ensure safety and smoother vehicle flow during the scheduled activity.
