Pateros LGU offers P20 per kilo rice

The Pateros municipal government is selling rice for P20 per kilo as part of its initiative to help the public.

Those who can buy the rice are persons with disability (PWDs), senior citizens, beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), solo parents and members of tricycle operators and drivers' associations

“Sa mga nais pang bumili ng ating ₱20 per kilo na bigas, maaari lamang pong pumunta sa Pamahalaang Bayan. Marami pa pong available na bigas.Sa patuloy na inisyatiba ng ating mahal na Mayor Gerald German, layunin nitong matulungan ang ating mga taga-Pateros na magkaroon ng abot-kayang bigas lalo na ngayong Kapaskuhan (For those who still want to buy our ₱20 per kilo rice, you can just go to the municipal government. There is still plenty of rice available. With the ongoing initiative of our beloved Mayor Gerald German, this aims to help our Pateros residents have affordable rice especially this Christmas season),” the Pateros municipal government announced.

The municipal government started offering the P20 per kilo rice a few months ago through the Kadiwa ng Pangulo.

The program was implemented together with the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Trade and Industry.

The P20 per kilo rice is available in Pateros on Dec. 12.
