More than 140 residents were left homeless after a fourth-alarm fire swept through a residential area in Barangay North Fairview, Quezon City on Friday, Dec. 12.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire broke out around 4:20 a.m. along Rand Street.
At least 45 families were affected when about 33 houses were destroyed in the fire.
The blaze was extinguished at 6:31 a.m.
The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire and estimating the total damage.
The city government said displaced families are receiving temporary shelter and emergency assistance.
