San Beda guns for its 24th overall crown without one of its main weapons in Agjanti Miller in Game 2 of the championship series against Colegio de San Juan de Letran in NCAA Season 101 men's basketball on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
With Miller sitting out due to a suspension after he was called with two technical fouls in the opener, the Red Lions try to hold their ground as they expect a big fightback from the Knights in their 2 p.m. encounter.
Before the main event, Perpetual and Benilde duke it out in the bronze match at 8 p.m. before the Game 2 Finals match between Letran and Arellano in the juniors division.
Drawing the first blood with a dominant 89-70 triumph in Game 1 at the same venue, San Beda is expected to lean on Bryan Sajonia, Nygel Gonzales, Jimmy Reyes, Penny Estacio, and RC Calimag to orchestrate the offense.
Yukien Andrada also wishes for a fitting "swan song" before he jumps to the pro ranks with the Magnolia Hotshots who drafted him sixth overall in the PBA.
Despite the overwhelming result in the series opener, San Beda will miss the services of Miller who scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds before he was ejected last Wednesday.
Looking to take advantage of the situation is Titing Manalili along with his supporting Letran cast that includes Jimboy Estrada, Jun Roque and Kevin Santos.
