The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will enforce an overnight traffic closure on a section of the Mandaue Causeway in Cebu to allow the safe installation of prestressed girders for the ongoing bridge project.
The closure will affect the Pakna-an–Barangay 2 stretch of Ouano Avenue near Cambogaong Bridge from 10 p.m. on Dec. 14 to 4 a.m. on Dec. 15.
Motorists using both public and private vehicles are urged to take designated alternative routes.
Rerouting will be implemented throughout the six-hour window to help manage traffic flow.
Drivers are also advised to observe traffic signages and follow the instructions of on-ground personnel to ensure safety during the works.
The DPWH apologized for the inconvenience, saying the temporary closure is necessary for the safe and timely completion of the bridge project.
