Bomb threat rocks BIR Lucena office

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) district office in Barangay Ilayang Dupay, this city, received a bomb threat on Thursday morning, Dec. 11.
Emily Singson, revenue district officer, sought assistance from the Lucena police after receiving the bomb threat from an unknown texter with number 09566512179 at about 9:44 a.m.
The Provincial Explosive and Canine Unit (PECU) conducted paneling through a K9 dog.
No bomb was found and Police Master Sgt. Ryan Fulledo, PECU Quezon team leader, declared the office safe and secure at about 11 a.m.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
