Woman yields firearm in Muntinlupa health center

Authorities confiscated a gun that was brought by a woman inside a barangay health center in Muntinlupa.

The Barangay Poblacion Police received a call from the Poblacion Health Center about a woman who was carrying a firearm.

Barangay Poblacion and the Muntinlupa police described the woman, 53, a resident of Rizal Street in Poblacion, as having a mental illness.

Police investigation showed that the woman underwent checkup at the health center and handed the gun to a nurse on duty and fled.

The nurse called the personnel from the City Security Office and turned over to them a .38-caliber firearm with five pieces of live ammunition.

Muntinlupa police personnel arrived and received the firearm.
