The Philippine National Police (PNP) has started initiating a digital platform system modernize and safeguard the processing of benefits for police retirees and their families.
Acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr. said the online system preparation is an offshoot of the newly signed memorandum of agreement (MOA) that establishes the Pension and Deduction Loan Information System (PDLIS).
“We have to adapt, we have to transform in a digital world that we live in. Ultimately, our role is to make sure the system works seamlessly for the welfare and benefit of our retired personnel and their family,” said Nartatez.
He said PNP is ready to work hand in hand with the National Police Commission (Napolcom) to ensure smooth integration of pension and personnel data into the new system.
Earlier, an agreement was signed by the Napolcom, PNP Lakas Tulungan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PNPLTMPC), Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI), Air Materiel Wing Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AMWSLAI), and system developer Codebiz IT Solutions, Inc. to develop PDLIS.
Nartatez said the digital platform aims to ensure faster, more accurate, and more secure processing of police pensions, total permanent physical disability (TPPD) benefits, and death claims.
The system will be funded by AFPSLAI, AMWSLAI, and PNPLTMPC at no cost to the government, and will be developed by Codebiz IT Solutions and will feature real-time validation, automated loan-locking, and safeguards against unauthorized or erroneous deductions.
Nartatez said the new digital system aligns with the PNP’s ongoing push for institutional reforms as he stressed that the PDLIS supports the PNP’s broader modernization agenda by replacing outdated manual processes with automated, real-time validation and secure data handling.
He also highlighted that the PDLIS’ automated computations, loan-locking mechanism, and secure data verification will significantly reduce cases of incorrect deductions, duplicate entries, or delayed benefit releases.
