During the period, PDEA said 55 high-impact operations, where drug dens were dismantled, drug shipments intercepted, marijuana plantations uprooted were conducted.

PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez stressed that this week anti-drug operations featured seamless coordination among PDEA Regional Offices, PNP Special Operations Units, Coast Guard stations, Aviation Units and even the Philippine Air Force showcasing the whole-of-government approach to combating illegal drugs.
“We are cutting off supply chains, and eliminating illegal drug sources. The P116.12 million worth of illegal drugs removed from our communities means countless lives protected from drug addiction and crime,” Nerez said.
The arrested suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).’’
