NASUGBU, Batangas – Police have arrested one of three suspects in the murder of a vendor and his six-year-old daughter here on Sunday.
The suspect was identified as Mark, 23, jobless, with a live-in partner, and a resident of Barangay Malapad na Bato, Nasugbu.
Mark was apprehended on Wednesday morning, Dec. 10, in this town. His companions remain unidentified and are still at large.
The suspect was identified by the victim’s 17-year-old son Jhon who was wounded during the attack.
The victims, Tomas, Jhon, Ellaine, 6, and Lester, 7, were on their way home when a man armed with a caliber .45 pistol and an M16 rifle driving a motorcycle appeared and shot them at about 6:30 p.m. in Barangay Butucan, this town.
Tomas died on the spot. Jhon and Ellaine were taken to a hospital where she was declared dead.
Mark is in the custody of the Nasugbu police. A manhunt is underway for the other suspects.
