Cops seize P816K shabu in Rizal buy-bust

A buy-bust operation in Rodriguez, Rizal led to the arrest of two suspects and the confiscation of shabu worth P816,000 early Wednesday, Dec. 10.

The suspects, identified as “Sarah,” 30, and “Moy,” 26, were arrested following the operation conducted by the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station (MPS) on Eastwood Drive in Barangay San Isidro, Rodriguez, around 12:10 a.m.

Confiscated from them were 10 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 120 grams, buy-bust money, a scale, a mobile phone, a sling bag, and a motorcycle.

They are now detained at the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station Custodial Facility and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) Director Col. Feloteo A. Gonzalgo vowed that they will continue to fight illegal drugs in the province.

“Mananatiling masigasig ang Rizal PPO sa pagpapatupad ng batas at sa pagpuksa ng ilegal na droga upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa ating komunidad (The Rizal Police Provincial Office will remain vigilant in enforcing the law and combating illegal drugs to maintain peace and order in our community),” he said.
