THE Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI-Iloilo) honored key business leaders during a Dec. 8 awarding ceremony. (PCCI-Iloilo)
ILOILO CITY — The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)-Iloilo Chapter honored outstanding Ilonggo business leaders as part of its 120th anniversary.
The awards were anchored on the theme for its milestone anniversary "Honoring the Past, Shaping the Future."
PCCI-Iloilo Chairman Felix Tiu and PCCI-Iloilo President Fulbert Woo led the Dec. 8 awarding ceremony in Iloilo City.
A major highlight was the Captains of the Industry Awards, which honored 12 business leaders that shaped Iloilo’s economic development over the past decades.
Awardees were:
- Agriculture: Emil Anthony L. Po
- Education: Dr. Mary Lou Lacson-Arcelo
- Food Services: Raymundo E. Robles
- Hardware: Tomas G. Tan
- Healthcare: Dr. Vicente E. Villareal
- Hospitality: Romeo S. Go
- Manufacturing: Alfonso A. Uy
- Media: Rogelio M. Florete
- Real Estate: Ms. Bernadette C. Tiu
- Transportation: Mr. Jan Andrew T. Po
- Wholesale: Rodolfo C. Tiu (posthumous)
- General Merchandise: Que Hua Pho (posthumous)
PCCI-Iloilo said the Captains of the Industry awardees had “visionary leadership, ethical business practice, and measurable contributions to local and national economic growth.”
The PCCI-Iloilo also awarded the Ilonggo Entrepreneur Awards (IEA).
Johnny Que is the Ilonggo Entrepreneur of the Year 2025, Amy Diopita is the Aspiring Entrepreneur of the Year, and Jan Vincent Sollesta is the Young Ilonggo Entrepreneur of the Year.
The PCCI-Iloilo also honored its past leaders -- former chairwoman Dr. Sandra Sarabia-Gomez and presidents Atty. Jobert A. Peñaflorida, Angel de Leon Jr., and Joe Marie Agriam.
