Man dies after having sex inside hotel in Manila

A 42-year-old man reportedly died after spending a night at a hotel with his female companion in Sta. Cruz, Manila last Dec. 7. 

The Manila Police District (MPD) said the victim, identified as "Edd," met with his female companion, identified as "Marie," along the stretch of Rizal Avenue before agreeing to spend the night at the hotel later that day to have sex.

As the two prepared to check out of the hotel, Edd suddenly experienced difficulty in breathing, prompting Marie to call for assistance from the hotel's front desk.

The police said Marie and the hotel staff tried to rush the victim out of the hotel to bring him to the nearest hospital but had difficulty in doing so due to Edd's weight.

Edd was eventually brought to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRMMC), where he was declared dead on arrival.

Marie and the hotel staff informed the officials of Barangay 309 about the incident. They then turned over the case to the police for further investigation.

Authorities have yet to determine Edd's cause of death.
