Man arrested for selling shabu to undercover cop in Taguig
Law enforcers arrested a man after he sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Taguig on Dec. 9.
The suspect was identified as alias Ferdie, 40, who was nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Padilla Compound, Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig conducted by the Taguig police.
The suspect, who is listed as a street-level drug personality, yielded six plastic sachets containing 28.3 grams of shabu valued at P192,440.
Police operatives also recovered a genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money, and six pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
He was brought to the Taguig police’s Station Drug Enforcement Unit for documentation. He will face a complaint for violations of Sections 5 (sale) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, district director of the Southern Police District, commended the police officers for the arrest.
He said that “the SPD remains determined to support all lawful actions that protect our communities. Every successful operation is a step toward safer streets and a more secure environment for our constituents.”
