Starting March 6, 2026, travelers can now fly off to Palau, an island nation in Micronesia via a twice-weekly flight.
The flight will be offered by Philippine Airlines (PAL) and hopes to entice people to travel to Pacific destinations. "Creating flights to this Pacific island will stimulate tourism travel among beach lovers and the diving community," shares PAL president Richard Nuttall. "Travelers can expect world-class service on board their flights, combined with Philippine Airlines’ renowned Filipino heartfelt care."
Micronesia consists of over 2,100 islands to explore. For PAL's offering, travelers will find themselves at Koror, Palau. Koror is widely regarded as the gateway to Palau's marine attractions. Many tourists visit Palau for its scuba diving offerings. Worth checking out as well is the Rock Islands of Palau, locally referred to as Chelbacheb. It is said that its earliest settlers likely came from the Philippines as far back as 1,000 BCE. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012.
Flights from Manila are scheduled every Wednesday and Sunday, departing at 10:15 PM and arriving in Palau (Koror) at 2:00 AM local time. Return flights from Palau (Koror) to Manila operate on Mondays and Thursdays, taking off at 3:10 AM local time and landing in Manila at 4:55 AM.
The service will be operated by PAL’s modern 199-seater dual-class Airbus A321ceo, ensuring passenger comfort and convenience.
