Drug dispute seen as possible motive in killing of 2 men in Tondo

Two men were shot dead in Barangay 649 in the Baseco Compound in Tondo, Manila, early Monday morning, Dec. 8.
Barangay Councilor Edgar Companero confirmed that the victims were residents of the area.
They were found lying in front of a small store after several shots were heard near the Dael Covered Court.
One of the victims was brought to the hospital but was declared dead a few hours later.
The barangay has only a few CCTV cameras, so the shooting was not recorded.
Despite this, Manila Police Station 13 has already identified the three suspects.
They are also residents of Baseco and may be hiding in the houses of friends.
According to Companero, the shooting may have been caused by a dispute involving drugs.
The police assured the relatives of the victims that they are continuing a wide manhunt and backtracking operation in Baseco, Tondo, to find and arrest the suspects.
