Body of man with head wrapped in tape found in Rizal

An unidentified man was found dead along Sampaloc Road in Barangay Sampaloc, Tanay, Rizal, with his head wrapped in masking tape and both hands tied.

The Tanay Municipal Police Station (Tanay MPS) said the victim’s body was discovered around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, by a group of friends who were jogging along the road.
Authorities described the victim as medium-built, 5’7” tall, between 45 and 50 years old, and wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt and dark gray pants.
Witnesses said they saw the victim’s body, with half of his head wrapped in masking tape and both hands tied, lying on the grassy area beside the road, prompting them to report it immediately.
Personnel of Tanay MPS quickly went to the scene and requested the Provincial Forensic Unit to conduct a technical investigation.
Authorities are now investigating the incident and determining the victim’s identity.
