Bullet confiscated at Dipolog airport but passenger says it's his amulet
Airport security personnel confiscated a bullet from a passenger who tried to hide it on his waistband during an inspection at the Dipolog Airport Station, the ffice for Transportation Security (OTS) said.
OTS personnel immediately sought police assistance after spotting the bullet during a routine security screening procedure on Monday, June 8.
During the questioning, the passenger admitted to owning the bullet of an M16 rifle but stressed that it is his amulet.
The confiscated ammunition was immediately endorsed to the police and the man was allowed to leave.
OTS Administrator Gilberto DC Cruz reminded passengers not to carry bullets to avoid flight inconvenience and legal trouble.
