8 hurt as trailer truck rams motorcycle, plunges off ravine in Quezon
ATIMONAN, Quezon – Eight individuals were injured after a trailer truck hit a motorcycle and plunged off a ravine on Monday morning, Dec. 8, in Barangay Malinao Ilaya, this town.
Atimonan police chief Major Marnie Abellanida said the trailer truck lost its brakes while traveling uphill, forcing the driver and his passengers to jump out of the vehicle. The driver and passengers sustained injuries.
The truck continued moving downhill and collided with an ascending motorcycle, injuring its driver and two passengers.
The truck fell off a cliff. The victims were taken to a hospital by responding Atimonan rescue personnel.
The truck driver faces a case of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple physical injuries and damage to property.
