Vendor killed in gun attack

NASUGBU, Batangas – A vendor was killed and two children were injured in a gun attack on Sunday night, Dec. 7, in Barangay Butucan here.
Police identified the victim as Tomas.
Investigation said Tomas, Jhon, 17; Ellaine, 6, and Lester, 7, were on their way home when a man armed with a caliber .45 pistol and an M16 rifle driving a motorcycle appeared and shot them.
Tomas died on the spot and Jhon and Ellaine were wounded. Lester was unhurt. The wounded were taken to hospitals.
The suspect fled. He faces murder and frustrated murder cases.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, a 39-year-old man was stabbed to death during a heated argument with a 32-year-old man Saturday night in Barangay Wawa, Batangas City.
Police identified the victim as Marvin who sustained stab wounds in the chest and declared dead in a hospital.
The suspect surrendered to the police and faces a homicide case.
