K-pop solo artist Baekho, 30, will be enlisting in the Korean military this month.
“We sincerely thank all dOnOs [fans] for your continued support of Baekho. We would like to inform you about Baekho's military enlistment,” Team Baekho announced on Dec. 8.
It said, “Baekho will enlist at the Army Training Center on December 29, complete basic military training, and then serve as an active-duty soldier.”
“There will be no official ceremony on the day of enlistment. Furthermore, as the training center entrance ceremony will be attended by many soldiers and their families, we ask that you refrain from visiting the entrance ceremony site. We would appreciate it if dOnOs could share their thoughts on Baekho through Weverse [fan community],” it said.
It added, “Until Baekho fulfills his military duty and returns in good health, we ask for your continued encouragement and love. We, too, will continue to provide Baekho with unwavering support and affection.”
Baekho debuted as a member of the defunct K-pop boy band NU’EST in 2012. The group disbanded in 2022.
He launched a solo career. Baekho performed at Waterbomb Manila music festival in February this year.
Baekho left his agency, Pledis Entertainment, this year.
