In Perlis, the UTP team reaped six singles and three doubles titles, securing championships in the 14-under, 16-under and 18-under boys and girls divisions as Korea claimed the 10-under and 12-under boys and girls categories.
The singles triumphs came from Claudwin Toñacao (14-under boys), Kathryn Bugna (14-under girls), Matt Morris (16-under boys), Cadee Jan Dagoon (16-under girls), Juvels Velos (18-under boys) and AJ Acabo (18-under girls).
Doubles champions were Kathryn Bugna and Mitch Cruspero (14-under), Matt Morris and Marwin Plata (16-under boys), and Ariel Cabaral and Juvels Velos (18-under).
In Penang last week, the young Filipino netters delivered sterling performances across multiple divisions to secure two singles titles while capturing championships in six divisions.
More than the medals, UTP and Cebuana Lhuillier celebrate the transformation of young athletes who gained noth just experience, but confidence and purpose.
