NAPERVILLE, IL – Philanthropist and recording artist Dr. Nick Vera Perez (NVP) successfully delivered on a long-standing promise to the community by hosting a festive and charitable event called “Red Christmas” at Wheatland Salem Church (WSChurch).

Held on the evening of Dec. 7, the event was a heartwarming celebration of holiday music, the essence of charity, and community unity, attracting nearly 200 attendees, with a massive turnout of children enjoying the Christmas spirit. The gathering served as a tangible expression of Mr. Vera Perez's ongoing personal crusade to “help others help others help.”
A promise fulfilled: Music, meals, and multicultural performance
The event marked the fulfillment of a concert promise Dr. Nick made to the church a year prior. Through his organization, NVP1World’s Smileworld Charities, the WSChurch was designated as the 2025 charity recipient, receiving all proceeds from the event. Attendees were treated to a diverse program that included gift-giving to children—with every child receiving a specially red-wrapped present—raffles, and games. Furthermore, Dr. NVP delivered on his pledge to provide classier buffet-style, delicious meals for the group. The performances underscored the church's unique identity as a home to people of many ethnicities, bringing them together as one to worship.
Sharing the stage: A celebration of global talent
The musical program was a vibrant display of multi-ethnic talents. The stage was graced by the Slavic Group of Children’s Choir from Russia and Ukraine, alongside seasoned performers Tatyana and Oleg Sigidin, Olga Kushnir, and the talented pianist and conductor Masha Yevdash. Dr. Nick shared the stage with equally vibrant and trained singers, Carol Cortez and Evelyn O. Francia, creating a powerful and uplifting concert experience. The success of the night led NVP1World’s Christmas party to announce plans to turn the concert into a more formal gala in 2027.
Future commitments: Album tour and company anniversary
The “Red Christmas” event also served as the opening venue for Dr. Nick Vera Perez's “ALBUM 5: Unafraid IL Churches’ Tours 2025.” NVP affirmed his commitment to visit other churches as scheduled until Feb. 1, 2026.
Looking ahead, NVP1World’s annual mid-range dancing event, SALTARE, is set to push through on Saturday, April 25, 2026, starting at 5:30 PM, celebrating his Album 6: Dancing in the Ocean with a Tropical Sunrise with a vibe celebrating an evening of nonstop dancing (yellow and light blue). Additionally, the company’s 8th anniversary ball celebration is slated for a grand event on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, also beginning at 5:30 PM.
