'Wilma' moves slowly closer to Eastern Samar–Northern Samar — PAGASA

Tropical Depression Wilma inched closer to the Eastern Samar–Northern Samar area on Saturday morning, Dec. 6, while maintaining its strength and slow westward movement, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.
In its Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 14 issued at 11 a.m., PAGASA reported that the center of Wilma was spotted at over the coastal waters of Sulat, Eastern Samar at around 10 a.m.
The agency said the weather system continues to pack maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center.
PAGASA noted that Wilma is moving westward slowly, keeping Eastern Visayas under the threat of adverse weather as its strong wind field extends outward up to 200 kilometers from the center.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said the northeast monsoon or “amihan” is expected to produce strong to gale-force gusts over most of Luzon, Visayas, and the Zamboanga Peninsula this Saturday, Dec. 6, and Sunday, Dec. 7, and over most of Luzon on Monday, Dec. 8. 
It added that a gale warning remains in effect over the eastern seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
