'I am an easy target'--Bong Revilla

Former senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. rued being what he called an " easy target" as far as the flood control projects corruption scandal is concerned.
This, as Revilla took to his Facebook on Saturday, Dec. 6 to express his frustration over the "narrative" against him.
"Ang naratibo na pilit nilang ikinakasa laban sa akin ay hindi lamang kasinungalingan, ito’y sadyang 'di kapani-paniwala (The narrative they are forcing against me is not only a lie, it is utterly unbelievable)," he wrote.
"I am an easy target being used to muddle the truth, but the truth will always come out," added the action movie star-turned-politician.
The beleaguered Revilla believed that he was being used for diversionary reasons.
"Ginagamit ang aking pangalan para malihis sa katotohanan—ngunit ang katotohanan, kailanman ay hindi matatakpan (My name is being used to divert from the truth—but the truth can never be covered up)."
Revilla, 59, was recommended for prosecution by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) last week. He is facing charges of plunder, direct or indirect bribery, corruption of public officials and administrative sanctions.
Revilla told his Facebook followers that he had no plans of backing down.
"I have lived my life facing all challenges thrown my way. Hindi ako tumakbo, hindi ako nagtago. Hindi ako umurong noon, hindi ako uurong ngayon. At dahil ang katotohanan ay nasa aking panig, haharapin ko ito nang buong tapang at paninindigan," he said in his post.
(I did not run, I did not hide. I did not back down then, and I will not back down now. And because the truth is on my side, I will face this with full courage and conviction.)
"Kasama kayo, nananalig akong sa huli, ang mga tunay na may sala ang mananagot—para sa hustisya at para sa bayan (Together with you, I believe that in the end, those truly guilty will be held accountable—for justice and for the nation)," Revilla said.
