The veteran forward scored the go-ahead basket off a great feed from Fran Yu before blocking the floater from Jerrick Ahanmisi to give the Giant Risers their third win in nine games.
Abueva did a little bit of everything with 20 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists – including the perfect outlet pass to Joshua Munzon after completing the huge defensive stop.
Munzon, who finished with 21 points, scored the fastbreak layup that put Titan Ultra up, 109-106, with 34 seconds left.
The Giant Risers, however, still had to deal with some tense moments late as Jerrick Ahanmisi managed to unload a wide open trey.
Fortunately for Titan Ultra, the ball went in and out as the game clock expired.
Yu orchestrated the attack with a double-double of 13 points and 11 assists for the Giant Risers who trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half of the contest.
Southeast Asian Games-bound Von Pessumal added 12 while Ato Ular had 11.
Ahanmisi finished with 21 points to pace Terrafirma, which is now in danger of missing the playoffs once more after dropping to a 1-7 record.
Mark Nonoy made a successful return from injury with 18 points while Louie Sangalang and JM Bravo chipped in 16 apiece in a losing cause.
