QC gov't urge residents to join green activities on Dec. 7
The city government of Quezon City is encouraging its citizens to participate in various activities on Sunday, Dec. 7, as part of its Car-free, Carefree Sundays in Tomas Morato Ave.
Among the activities are Zumba, jogging, bicycle rides, roller skating, and exercise with members of the Quezon City Police District.
A “Walk for Clean Air” led by Health Care Without Harm Southeast Asia, and 350 Pilipinas, with support of QCPD, QC Health Department (QCHD), and the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources will also be held.
To boost health information, a “Know your BMI” Station will be established as well as a Mental Health booth.
Meanwhile, self-defense lessons and “Palarong Pinoy” will be conducted by the QCPD.
The activities will be open to the public from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Participants are urged to bring their own water bottles and furparents are advised to observe cleanliness in Tomas Morato Ave.
