The city government of Parañaque was recognized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-National Capital Region (DENR-NCR) for its continuous efforts to promote sustainable practices and its strong participation in various ecological initiatives across Metro Manila.
Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the award was presented to the city government during the Green Legacy Awards 2025 held in Quezon City on Friday, Dec. 5.
Olivarez said the recognition was given in appreciation of the city government’s unwavering support and commitment to advancing DENR-NCR’s environmental programs.
He added that the city government, in partnership with the agency, continues to implement programs that protect the environment, promote ecological responsibility, and build a greener, more sustainable community.
