Authorities arrested a 36-year-old high-value individual (HVI) and confiscated P1,020,000 worth of shabu and a firearm during a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal, on Thursday night, Dec. 4.
The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) identified the suspect as “Daniel,” listed as a pusher and high-value target. He was nabbed in the operation conducted by the Taytay Municipal Police Station (Taytay MPS) Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) in Barangay San Juan, Taytay, at 11:55 p.m.
Authorities recovered approximately 150 grams of suspected shabu, a 9mm pistol with a magazine and four live ammunition, and various drug paraphernalia.
He is now detained at the Taytay Custodial Facility and will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), as well as violations of Republic Act 10591 (Firearms Law).
Rizal PPO Provincial Director Col. Feloteo Gonzalgo stated, “Hindi natin titigilan ang mga indibidwal na patuloy na sumisira sa ating kabataan at komunidad (We will not stop going after individuals who continue to destroy our youth and our communities).”
