Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso assured Manileños of a happy and filling Christmas as the city prepares for the distribution of Pamaskong Handog 2025 food boxes to households.
He, together with Vice Mayor Chi Atienza, personally inspected the food boxes stored at San Andres Sports Complex on Friday, Dec. 5.
"Kahit kapos sa pondo, nagsikap ang pamahalaang lungsod ng Maynila na maihatid ang Christmas food boxes sa mga pamilyang Manileño upang matiyak na may mapaghaharimunan ngayong Pasko. Sisimulan na rin ang paunang pamamahagi ng mga ito sa lungsod (Despite a lack of funds, the Manila city government has made efforts to deliver Christmas food boxes to Manileño families to ensure they have something to eat this Christmas. The initial distribution of these boxes will also begin in the city)," Domagoso said.
"Sa mga Batang Maynila, today we will start distributing our limited Christmas Noche Buena boxes. Bagama’t hirap na hirap tayo bilang siyudad, ayokong may magutom sa Maynila (To all Batang Maynila, today we will start distributing our limited Christmas Noche Buena boxes. Although we are struggling as a city, I don't want anyone to go hungry in Manila)," he added.
Each box contains corned beef canned goods, spaghetti noodles, spaghetti sauce, cheese, canned fruit cocktail, and canned condensed milk.
