Classes in 2 Pateros public schools suspended due to building demolition
The Pateros municipal government suspended classes in two public schools on Dec. 5 due to an ongoing demolition of a building.
The affected schools are the Pateros Elementary School and Pateros National High School.
"Upang matiyak ang seguridad at kaligtasan ng bawat mag-aaral, guro, at magulang ng PES at PNHS (Junior at Senior High School) ay atin pong sinususpinde ang klase sa mga nasabing paaralan ngayong December 5, 2025. Ito po ay may kaugnayan sa ginagawang demolition nang PTC Building sa Barangay San Pedro na pinangangasiwaan ng DPWH [Department of Public Works and Highways]. Nais po nating matiyak ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa (To ensure the security and safety of every student, teacher, and parent of PES and PNHS (Junior and Senior High School), we are suspending classes in the said schools on December 5, 2025. This is related to the ongoing demolition of the PTC Building in Barangay San Pedro which is being managed by the DPWH. We want to ensure everyone's safety)," the municipal government announced.
It directed the two public schools to conduct Alternative Delivery Mode of learning.
In addition, P. Herrera Street in Barangay San Pedro, Pateros is closed to vehicles from Dec. 5 to 7.
