Yearender: 2025 Spotify Wrapped unveils top songs, artists, podcasts in PH

Spotify released its 2025 Wrapped, a list of the top songs, artists, groups, and podcasts of the year.

Starting on Dec. 4, eligible users in the Philippines can access their personalized Wrapped experience in the Spotify app.

This year’s experience brings together the classics fans know and love, plus new ways to connect and dig deeper into the stories and moments that made the year uniquely theirs. From refreshed data stories to new interactive features, 2025 Wrapped reflects the ways Filipinos listened and celebrates the artists and creators who defined the year.

Baguio-hailed band Cup of Joe’s “Multo” is the No. 1 song in the Philippines while the group earned Top Local Artist and Top Local Group.

“It’s incredibly overwhelming to see our songs become part of people’s playlists and their big moments this year — it reminds us that we’ve somehow become part of their story. Knowing that someone found comfort or connection in our music is one of the best feelings. We’re excited to grow, experiment, and share more pieces of ourselves with our listeners,” said Cup of Joe.

The other Top Local songs are Earl Agustin’s “Tibok” (No. 2) Dionela’s “Marilag” (No. 3), Amiel Sol’s “Sa Bawat Sandali” (No. 4) and HELLMERRY’s “My Day” (No. 5).

Podcasts also remained a strong part of Filipinos’ listening this year, with many seeking out stories that feel relatable and familiar. Filipinos turned to intimate storytelling, laugh-out-loud conversations, and even spine-tingling narratives.

Barangay Love Stories (No. 1) emerged again as the Top Podcast in the Philippines. It was followed by Papa Dudut Stories No. 2) and Will Talks (No. 3), and Sitio Bangungot (No. 5).

Barangay Love Stories said, “Having such a strong community behind Barangay Love Stories means everything to us. Our listeners aren’t just tuning in — they’re part of every story we tell. This milestone inspires us to continue sharing heartfelt tales that reflect the love, life, and experiences of Filipinos.”

Chicks 2 Go became the Top New Podcast (Group), reflecting the growing presence of dynamic formats while DAGOK TIME!, part of Spotify’s inaugural RADAR creator program, made its Wrapped debut as the Top New Podcast (Solo).

Sophie Prime of DAGOK TIME! said, “Being part of Spotify’s first RADAR Creators already meant a lot to me, so seeing my show now make it to the Wrapped charts is incredibly humbling. It’s a reminder that passion and authenticity can take you far, and it motivates me to keep showing up for the people who choose to listen.”

New features

2025 Wrapped also revealed new and updated stories that let listeners explore their year in a more interactive and personal way. This year, users can experience Wrapped at their own pace — with controls that let them adjust the speed, revisit moments, and navigate their highlights more freely.

Eligible users can access their personalized 2025 Wrapped experience exclusively in the Spotify mobile app (iOS and Android), with the latest version installed.

What's New:

● Listening Age: This story compares your musical tastes to others’ in your age group, looking at the release years of the tracks you listen to most.

● Top Albums: For the first time, we’re spotlighting the albums you returned to again and again.

● Your Podcaster Clip: You may also hear from one of your favorite podcast creators, now appearing directly in your Wrapped experience.

● Fan Leaderboard: Think you’re one of your top artist’s biggest fans? This year, you might see where you rank among their listeners worldwide, based on your total minutes listened.

● Clubs: This story celebrates the streaming habits that defined your year. You’ll be sorted into one of six Clubs – each representing a unique listening style – and see the role you play within that community.

● Listening Archive: Finally, get personalized snapshots of your most memorable streaming days. Powered by AI, this feature delivers up to five unique reports based on your daily listening. Available in English in select markets.

● Wrapped Party: Separate from your personalized data stories, we’re also launching Wrapped Party for the first time. This new interactive feature lets you experience your year in music live with friends and can be found in the Wrapped feed or by searching “Wrapped Party.”

Refreshed Classics:

● Top Genres: This fan favorite is back to show you the genres that shaped your sound this year.

● Top Song Quiz: Guess which track soundtracked your year in this interactive quiz.

● Top Artist Sprint: Watch the sprint for your No. 1 spot. This story visualizes how your top five artists shifted in your personal rankings month by month.

● Top Songs and accompanying playlist: See your top five songs of the year and get your personalized Your Top Songs 2025 playlist, which now shows how many times you streamed each of your top 100 tracks this year.

Spotify is bringing the celebration directly to fans with unique pop-up destinations dedicated to the artists who defined 2025.

In the Philippines, an installation inspired by Cup of Joe’s “Multo” takes over NEO Park at Seven/NEO in Bonifacio Global City from Dec. 4 to 7, an immersive interpretation of the track’s haunting “what ifs.” The space is open to all Spotify users.
