LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Police seized over P20-million worth of suspected shabu and arrested three drug pushers during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, Dec. 3, in Daet town, Camarines Norte.
Police Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-5, identified the suspects as Dan, Mando, and Iris.
Calubaquib said that the suspects were considered high-value individuals (HVIs) in the Bicol region’s illegal drug network.
Recovered from the suspects were three kilos of suspected shabu valued at P20.4 million.
Police Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr., PRO-5 director, said that the successful operation reflects their unwavering drive to pursue drug offenders and protect communities across Bicol from the threats posed by illegal narcotics.
“This operation demonstrates our commitment to ensuring safer communities for every Bicolano. Our work continues daily because the public deserves to live free from the influence and dangers of illegal drugs,” Babagay said.
Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant and proactive by reporting suspicious activities to help sustain the momentum in the fight against illegal drugs.
