PALO, Leyte – The Police Regional Office-8 lighted their Christmas tree and lanterns in Camp Ruperto Kangleon here on Wednesday.
Police Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy, PRO-8 director, led the lighting of 26 Christmas lanterns made from recycled and indigenous materials from different divisions, support units, and provincial offices.
They also held an adopt a tree Christmas tree competition where trees in the camp were transformed into vibrant symbols of hope and celebration based on their chosen theme.
Capoy said the lighting symbolizes their light, hope, and unity.
People may also visit and take pictures taken before Christmas decors.
Capoy shared that the lantern and tree lighting symbolize the dedication of PRO-8 personnel and their continued commitment to serving communities, especially during challenging times.
“May these inspire us to carry our mission with renewed determination and a deeper purpose,” he said.
He added that the celebration also serves as a moment to remember those who rely on the police for safety and support, inspiring everyone to carry their mission forward with strengthened determination.
