Cops net gunrunner in Laguna

LOS BAÑOS, Laguna – A suspected gunrunner was arrested and illegal firearms and a gun manufacturing machine valued at P16 million were seized in Barangay San Antonio here recently.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Laguna Provincial Field Unit, Laguna Provincial Highway Patrol Team, and Los Baños Municipal Police Station implemented a search warrant against Allan for allegedly violating Section 32 of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Found in his possession were firearms parts and components – lower and upper receivers, silencers and suppressors, muzzle brakes, handguards, barrels, slides, live ammunition, finished and unfinished magazines, charging handles, grips, and recoil springs – and computer numerical control (CNC) machines, computer sets, and equipment allegedly used in weapons manufacture.
Allan is in police custody and faces appropriate complaints.
