The Quezon City government on Tuesday, Dec. 2, recognized 50 individuals during the 2025 Quezon City Local Outstanding Volunteers Awards.
The event aims to strengthen volunteerism and community service.
The awards were presented by Barangay and Community Relations Department Head Ricky Corpuz, City Administrator Michael Victor Alimurung, and Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency Deputy Executive Director Ela Victoria Samago.
The awardees were selected based on their significant contributions, initiatives, and positive impact on the community.
Some of the awardees were Grain Foundation For PWD Inc., Rotary Club of Greenfields Quezon City, Salam Compound Traiders Association Inc., St. Peter Emergency Rescue Team, Pugad Lawin Philippines, Inc.,Vpos Bagwis Fairlane Volunteer.
Also present during the event were Human Resource Management Department Head Atty. Noel Del Prado, City Health Officer Dr. Ramona Abarquez, Information Technology and Development Department OIC Mary Ann G. Cruz, Social Services Development Department OIC Ma. Lorelei Salvador, along with other department heads who joined in honoring the city’s modern-day community heroes.
Quezon City officials reaffirmed their commitment to supporting and recognizing volunteer groups and individuals who continue to uplift lives and help build a more compassionate and empowered city.
