Federal Land elevates Marikina Town Center with a sports and recreation venue
Welcome to a world-class football field and food park in Marikina
The new football field is for trainees, players, and fans alike.
Federal Land Inc. just added another key feature in Marikina Town Center, a mixed-use estate created in partnership with the Marikina City government. The 100x68-meter football field, built to FIFA standards, was recently launched on November 26, 2025, introducing a new venue for players and sports fans to enjoy in Marikina.
Just adjacent to the field, the Toyota Tamaraw Food Park was also opened, serving both local street food and hearty meals. During the launch, the food park featured nine Tamaraw food truck conversions, in partnership with Toyota Motors Philippines.
Masando Hashimoto, president of Toyota Motor Philippines; Mayor Maan Teodoro of Marikina City; and Jose Mari Banzon, president of Federal Land Inc.
“With this new turf field, we hope to give Marikina a new space for sports and recreation and, more importantly, a reason for people to come together as a community,” said Jose Mari Banzon, president of Federal Land.
Marikina mayor Maan Teodoro graced the inauguration, with Anton del Rosario, former Azkal footballer, leading the ceremonial kick.
“This is one of our visions for Marikina, where active mobility is in place. In the coming years, we hope to develop a sports program, and this will be one of its venues. We aim to train homegrown athletes to enable them to compete in national and international games. And I know Federal Land will be there to support this,” said Mayor Teodoro in her speech.
Federal Land communities are envisioned to provide a productive and holistic living experience; thus, spaces are intentionally assigned for outdoor sports and recreation.
The Marikina Town Center was designed to be a vibrant hub for business, leisure, and sports. The development project aims to boost the local economy by creating jobs and opportunities for local businesses, while enhancing the quality of life for residents with commercial and community spaces.
“We aim to develop a complete community, which is why we built the football field to complement the residential property and in recognition of Marikina’s love of sports. Our vision for Marikina’s development is to be the center of wellness and recreation for families to live in,” added Banzon.
The launch of the new football field and the Toyota Tamaraw Food Park are the latest additions to the township, and residents can expect more enhanced spaces that will foster person-to-person interaction and support an active community lifestyle.
Banzon also mentioned the progress that is taking place with the redevelopment of Blue Wave Mall and the nearby Petron station, as well as the refreshed mall set to open in the middle of 2026. The sports and lifestyle facilities will be upgraded to include basketball, badminton, and pickleball courts. Additional commercial and residential developments are also underway, making Marikina Town Center a must-visit destination for families, athletes, and leisure seekers.
These new attractions are part of Federal Land Communities’ broader plan to build 10 master-planned townships across the country—vibrant communities where people can live well, stay active, and enjoy everyday moments.
