CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 said that the Trillion Peso March 2.0 on Sunday, Nov. 30, in the Caraga region was generally peaceful.
Two rallies were conducted.
One was held in Surigao City, at the Saint Paul University Surigao, secured by 200 lawmen from the Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO).
Around 300 individuals, composed primarily of students from colleges and universities in Surigao City, participated.
The activity began with an assembly at the Saint Paul University Surigao (SPUS) compound in Barangay Luna followed by a coordinated march towards the Surigao Integrated Bus Terminal and back to SPUS campus.
The second was held in Prosperidad town, Agusan del Sur province, with close to 1,200 individuals.
“Overall, the Trillion Pesos March 2.0 was generally peaceful in our region,” PRO-13 Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said.
Ometer said they remain steadfast in their commitment to uphold peace and order throughout the region.
“Under the close supervision and leadership of our Regional Director Brig. Gen. Marcial Magistrado, we continue to prioritize the safety and security of our communities, particularly during public gatherings and major events, by ensuring that all necessary preventive and operational measures are in place,” Ometer said.
