The Malaysia Friendship Open Golf 2025, held on November 22, 2025, at Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club in Lubao, Pampanga, concluded with resounding success. The annual tournament, proudly organized by the Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) in collaboration with the Embassy of Malaysia, once again brought together an inspiring community of partners, players, and supporters to celebrate friendship, sportsmanship, and the enduring ties between Malaysia and the Philippines.
This year’s event was not only a showcase of athletic skill but also a powerful expression of solidarity. All proceeds were directed toward charitable programs and urgent response efforts for calamities and natural disasters, ensuring timely assistance for vulnerable communities.
The tournament’s significance was further elevated by Malaysia’s recent conclusion of its 2025 ASEAN chairmanship, a period focused on advancing inclusion, sustainability, and community-building across Southeast Asia. With the formal handover of the chairmanship to the Philippines in October 2025, the event stood as a proud milestone for Malaysia and a reaffirmation of its steadfast commitment to ASEAN and its strong partnership with the Philippines.

The Malaysia Friendship Open continues to foster goodwill and deepen people-to-people ties between the two neighboring nations. The participation of golf enthusiasts from the Philippines, Malaysia, across ASEAN, and beyond highlighted the growing potential of the golf and tourism industry in the region.
The organizing team expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the business, government, diplomatic, and media. Sixty-three sponsors came together to make the event possible—a significant increase from last year. Two hundred and eighty-eight players proudly joined the tournament, reflecting the strong belief in the mission of the Malaysia Friendship Open and the enduring spirit of cooperation it represents.
This remarkable turnout and enthusiasm elevated the tournament to new heights, reinforcing its role as a platform for unity and shared purpose.
