'Trillion Peso March 2.0' in Negros Island concludes peacefully

BACOLOD CITY – Police declared that the “Trillion Peso March 2.0” protest in Negros Island on Sunday, Nov. 30, was generally peaceful.
Police Lt. Col. Joem Malong, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR), said that all rallyists peacefully dispersed late afternoon.
Two groups held separate assemblies in this highly-urbanized city – one from Lupit Church and another from the Provincial Capitol Lagoon before converging at the Bacolod public plaza.
The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office also monitored a peaceful rally at Pantawan Boulevard in Dumaguete City, with an estimated 70 individuals participating.
No significant incidents were also recorded, according to Malong.
Police Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO-NIR director, commended all police personnel for their professionalism and diligence in managing security operations.
He thanked rally organizers, participants, and the community for responsibly observing the safety and security protocols put in place.
