Solon lauds Manalo's fourth place finish in Miss U

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – House Deputy Speaker and Quezon Rep. David C. Suarez has filed House Resolution No. 513 commending Ahtisa Manalo for fourth place finish in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
"In that single moment on the Miss Universe stage, she did not just answer a question. She spoke for every Filipino who has ever faced hardship yet chose to rise with hope and grace,” Suarez said.
Suarez added that her words captured the resilient heart of Quezon province and the entire nation.
"She made us all stand taller and prouder," Suarez said of Manalo, a native of Candelaria, Quezon.
