QC gov't warns vs fake posts on Pamaskong Handog bags

The Quezon City government on Sunday, Nov. 30, warned the public against a Facebook post falsely claiming to show the contents of the Pamaskong Handog (PH) gift bags, saying the information has no factual basis.

The city government said that although the post carried a hashtag stating it was “for entertainment purposes only,” it still confused, as such tags are often used to attract engagement and expand a post’s reach.

The local government emphasized that posts like this can spread misinformation.

Residents were also reminded that all official announcements regarding the Pamaskong Handog distribution are released solely through the Quezon City Government’s official Facebook page.

Residents were also advised to verify online content and rely only on credible sources before sharing or believing posts.
