Rob Deniel, Adie, Arthur Nery, and Amiel Sol are coming together for a concert dubbed "RAAA".

During a press conference at the Viva Office in Ortigas last Nov. 26, Arthur shared they first discussed the idea of them performing together way back in 2020.

"I think nag start pa po ito nung pandemic. Supposedly apat po kami dun Rob, Adie, Ako, and si Unique, and then may big surprise. Bumalik si Unique sa IVOS, so need namin ng isa pang super close friend, and since lagi po kaming naghahangout, kwentuhan lang po siya at first, it was then that Amiel came along," Arthur shared.

(I think the concept started during the pandemic. There were originally four of us—Rob, Adie, me, and Unique—then something unexpected happened. Unique went back to IVOS, so we needed someone who we are really close with. Since we always hang out together, we were just talking about it at first, and that’s when Amiel came along)

They don’t feel pressured at all about the concert. They’re fans of each other’s work, and they simply want to give their fans the best show possible.

"Wala namang pressure kasi simula't sapul nakaplano naman ito and kumbaga passion naman ito and kapag alam mo you keep on pursuing your passion mas nanaig yung grateful kami sa opportunity na ito," Amiel shared.

(There is no pressure because it was already part of the plan from the start. It’s something we’re passionate about, and when you keep pursuing your passion, you can’t help but feel grateful for opportunities like this)

Adie admitted he was worried at first as to how they would gel musically.

"Kasi may iba't-iba kaming distinct style but feeling ko naman magkakaroon kami ng chemistry kasi outside of music meron po kaming enough bond na feeling ko mapapakita namin sa concert," Adie shared.

(Because each of us have a distinct style but I feel like we'll have chemistry because outside of music, we have formed enough of a bond that I feel like we'll be able to show that in the concert.)

Rob said, ''Siguro dun sa conceptualization meron pressure, but nung nabuo na namin yung concept nung concert siguro dun mas naging chill na kami and mas confident na kami sa gagawin namin."

(There was probably some pressure during the conceptualization, but once we finalized the concept for the concert, we felt more relaxed and confident about what we are going to do)

Aside from basketball, the four also enjoy playing video games, watching local gigs, and having cookouts.

According to Amiel, having friends in the same industry is vital.

"Very important po sa akin yung friendship na ito kasi honestly onti lang din yung makakarelate bilang songwriter sa struggles din kasi syempre sa mata ng iba ang saya lang ng buhay namin kumakanta lang kami, pero marami rin struggles behind it na parang makaka gets lang talaga yung mga kaibigan mo na nakaranas din ng ganun," Amiel said.

(This friendship is very important to me because, honestly, as a songwriter, there are only a few who can relate to our struggles because, of course, in the eyes of others, our lives are just fun, just singing, but there are also many struggles behind it that only your friends who have also experienced the same can really understand.)

Adie agreed, "kasi nga po dito sa industry parang hindi mo alam kung sino yung mga tunay, kasi may kanya-kanya rin silang set of people and genres na magkakaintindihan kayo at first pero in the long run hindi pala kayo same ng trip and then nagkataon lang po na sa basketball nabuo yung bond namin, instead na kami mag compete sa isa't isa sa industry sa basketball na lang namin dinadaan."

(Because in this industry, it's like you don't know who the real ones are, because they have their own set of people and genres that you can understand at first, but in the long run, you're not on the same journey, and then it just so happens that our bond was formed through basketball, instead of competing with each other in the industry, we just do it through basketball)

The concert is set Dec. 5 at the iconic Smart Araneta Coliseum.
