Police on full alert for 'Trillion' march

The Police Regional Office-2 is on full alert for the Trillion Peso March 2.0 on Sunday, Nov. 30, in the Cagayan Valley region.
The Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) is on standby and ready for immediate deployment.
PRO-2 chief Polic Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr. said Cagayan Valley remains safe and under control and the police are prepared to respond to any situation.
“Police Regional Office-2 firmly commits to ensuring that Region 2 remains peaceful, orderly, and secure. The implementation of the full alert status allows us to better protect communities, maintain stability, and uphold the rule of law. We encourage our citizens to remain calm, responsible, and cooperative with authorities,” Marallag said.
Intensified security operations in crowded areas, transport terminals, business districts, and other strategic locations are being implemented.
The Regional Command Center is conducting real-time monitoring, enhanced intelligence coordination, and social media tracking to detect and prevent any security threats. The PRO-2 is coordinating with local government units, force multipliers, and partner agencies for continuous security enforcement.
Meanwhile, the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office has deployed civil disturbance management contingents for the Trillion Peso March 2.0 in Metro Manila.
Police Col. Arbel Mercullo, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office chief, said personnel are fully prepared, disciplined, and properly equipped to perform their duties.
Mercullo said they are committed to maintaining peace and order and carry out its mandate with integrity, dedication, and unwavering public service.
