No. 1 most wanted person in NCR for murder arrested in Taguig
Police arrested the No. 1 most wanted person in the National Capital Region for murder in Taguig City on Nov. 28.
Taguig police operatives, in coordination with the Rapid Deployment Battalion–Special Action Force (RDB–SAF), conducted a manhunt operation that led to the capture of the suspect, identified by the surname Concepcion, in Barangay Hagonoy.
The second incident took place was on Nov. 2 last year, where Concepcion was identified as one of the three suspects in the shooting of Marvin Padilla.
The operation was implemented through the NCR Case Operational Plan (COPLAN) “TOTE.” A warrant of arrest with no bail recommended for murder was issued against Concepcion.
Two people identified as his cohorts were likewise arrested during the operation for obstruction of justice and violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The case involving his live-in partner became the primary basis for the issuance of the warrant of arrest for murder.
During the operation, the police seized a. 45-caliber firearm, a 60 mm high explosive mortar, and three plastic sachets containing shabu.
Police officials said Concepcion’s arrest underscored the Philippine National Police’s sustained commitment to relentless manhunt operations and the protection of communities from armed violence and illegal drugs.
The Taguig police assured the public that intensified operations against wanted persons and criminal elements will continue.
